Your Paper Plane, Now With a Motor

SkyFold adds what a paper plane has always been missing: power. A feather-light module with two propellers and an auto-leveling gyro clips onto the plane your kid folded. Push the left stick and it takes off on its own, bank it with the right stick, and land it gently on the clip-on wheels. It's the same toy they've folded a hundred times – now with a pilot's seat.
Built to Crash, Made to Refold

Paper is cheap, light and endlessly replaceable – which makes it the perfect airframe for learning to fly. When a landing goes wrong, the sheet crumples and the electronics are fine. Kids learn from every crash instead of losing their toy to it, and a fresh airframe is one fold away. It's light by design, so it's happiest outdoors on still days.
Real Sticks, Zero Screens

SkyFold is controlled with a dedicated handheld remote – two thumbsticks, a power switch, nothing to install. That means no pairing screens, no app updates and no phone in a nine-year-old's hands at the park. Kids who've held a game controller pick it up in seconds. Suggested for ages 8 and up, with younger pilots flying alongside an adult.
Made for curious kids (and whoever buys for them)
Whether it's a birthday, the holidays or a rainy-week project, here's why families pick SkyFold.
“I'm trying to get him off the tablet.”
Flying needs eyes on the sky, not on a screen. Each afternoon becomes a little challenge: longer flights, tighter turns, a better wing design.
“I want a gift that doesn't end up in a drawer.”
Arrives gift-ready with a clear stand, so between flights it's a bedroom display piece rather than another toy in the bin.
“Every RC toy we buy is broken by Sunday.”
Learning to fly means crashing. With a paper airframe, a rough landing is a lesson, not a repair bill – the motor and remote are built to keep going.
“I need projects that actually teach something.”
Try a wider wing, a heavier nose or a new fold and watch how the flight changes. Physics they can actually see, using paper from the printer tray.

Three Steps to Take-Off
Paper does the crashing. The motor and the remote do the flying.

Step 1 – Fold your plane
Use any A4 sheet (80–100 gsm works best). A classic dart, a wide glider or your own invention – the paper is the part designed to take the knocks.
Step 2 – Clip on the module
The light frame holds twin propellers and a gyro stabilizer. Clip it onto the folded plane as shown in the guide, and add the wheels for runway take-offs.
Step 3 – Take the controls
Left stick for power, right stick for steering. If it nose-dives, fold a fresh plane, clip the module back on and fly again.
From Unboxing to Lift-Off
Here's what the first afternoon looks like.
Power up
Plug in the battery with the included USB-C cable – a good moment to read the folding guide.
Build your first flyer
Pick a design from the guide (or invent one), fold it, and snap the power module onto the center crease.
Maiden flight
Go somewhere wide and calm. Keep the throttle low for the first few runs until the controls feel natural.
Fold, fly, improve
Try a new wing shape, compare flights and keep the best design on the display stand.
